How do I register to use MyChartWriter?

Do I need to purchase any hardware or software?
One of the great things about MyChartWriter is that there is no expensive and complicated hardware to buy, MyChartWriter is 100% web based. The only thing you need to start using the software is an internet connection and Internet Explorer 6.0 or above.
How secure is a web-based application?
It is secured with 128-bit Secured Socket Layer(SSL) encryption. This ensures that every time information is sent to or from your computer, it is in encrypted format.
Is the security of MyChartWriter HIPAA compliant?
We take security very seriously with MyChartWriter. We provide multiple layers of security at the physical, network and application level. At the physical layer we restrict access to our database and servers from all un-authorized personnel.
The network layer is protected by a Cisco PIX firewall. At the application level, all passwords are encrypted directly in the database with the MD5 message-digest algorithm. The application also implements role based access control and session timeout, thus providing further security at the application layer.
